Dujia zai Xianggong part 2

27 Mar

The day I left off, we ended up walking down to to watch the skyline laser light show. It was quite impressive. We ate at the Intercontinental Hotel lounge area on couches, yummy burgers, drinks, a view of the skyline we just saw illuminated. It wasn’t exactly what we had planned for dinner, but it ended up being one of the most relaxing dinners we had while there.

The next couple of days in Hong Kong were great, but tiring. I always feel like I need a vacation from our vacations.

One of those exhausted moments, Ada took her naps on me the whole trip...

We were just about to take the ferry across to the island part of Hong Kong. We decided to save time and grab a quick breakfast, but we were unable to find a quick cup of joe.

We were really needing our coffee!!! That quick breakfast turned into shoe shopping for the kids…I mean really in need of coffee! If you have ever been shoe shopping with them you’d understand.

Lots of helpers

It can be painful. Mission accomplished, three pairs of new sneakers. Now we are set until summer in the states.

Finally, coffee and a snack before more sight seeing. We also got to see some rugby players that were arriving for the Hong Kong 7’s. Wyatt was hoping to see the all blacks, New Zealand’s team, which is his teachers favorite.

Next, the ferry ride…

It was short and sweet. We were headed to check out some markets and seemed to do a lot of eating on this vacation.

Waiting in the taxi line to go to Stanley street markets. It was like Mr toads wild ride. Curvy roads and stops and starts are not pleasant for Seth who get car sick. Hong Kong reminded me of a mix between New York City and San Francisco with an Asian twist.
We ate at a yummy famous dim sum restaurant that night and ordered way too much food.

Chatting away

The next day we headed to fish street! It was crazy, a whole liked with aquarium shops and fish hung outside.

Then we ate at another place that was famous for their buns:). I tell you, we should weigh four hundred pounds with all the eating we do!!!

Where’s Robert’s action eating shot?
Next was a quick ride on the double decker street car.

We went to another big market, then mall and had some yummy Malaysian food, I think??? Robert help in the comments section. I remember a lot of yummy fresh herbs and noodles;). Too many different restaurants and nights, I needed to blog sooner.

Resting when we decide on dinner

Our last morning we decided to revisit Kowloon Park by our hotel. We had a nice stroll through and found the aviary section.

Seriously awesome! The food makes me drool.
But you guys, really? Shoe shopping without coffee? You are indeed brave folks. I would never attempt such a thing. LOL.
